Field Maintenance Support Technician

About The Position

Optibus is seeking a highly skilled Field Maintenance Support technician to join our Support team in San Sebastian, Spain. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our services and equipment in the field through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and quick response to service disruptions.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures in the field promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Schedule maintenance activities in coordination with the operations team to avoid service interruptions.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, service requests, and repairs.
  • Offer technical support and training to staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Serve in emergency on-call rotations for after-hours service needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certification or degree in Electricity or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar field maintenance role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced situations.
  • High level of English proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid B1 driving licence and ownership of a car for site visits as needed.
  • The candidate should either reside in or be open to relocating to San Sebastian or its neighbouring area.
